Stuarts Well, Eridunda, Kulgera
Just over one hundred kilometres south of Alice Springs, Stuarts Well is a tiny oasis in the middle of the desert renowned for it's camel connections. Apart from the popular watering hole at Jim's Place (roadhouse/pub), the settlements only other establishment is the camel farm run by the "camel king" Noel Fullerton. Visitors are able to determine their riding skills with a short trip around the farm or an extended tour into the outback and nearby Rainbow Valley.

Henbury Meteorite CratersHeading south down the Stuart Highway less than forty kilometres from Stuarts Well, the Henbury Meteorite Craters are an impressive cluster of twelve craters measuring up to 180 metres wide and 15 metres deep. Access their website here. The prehistoric site lies a short distance from the main drag along the unpaved and sketchy Ernest Giles Road. This road also doubles as a shorter route to Kings Canyon, although it's rough going and often impassable after heavy rain.

Another 89 kilometres down the Stuart Highway, the roadhouse settlement of Erldunda marks the intersection where most travellers hang a right on Lasseters Highway and head towards the Central Australian marvels of Uluru, Kata Tjuta, and Kings Canyon. 74 kilometres below Erldunda, Kulgera is the most southern town in the Northern Territory. Centred around its friendly pub, this could be your first or last chance to experience the Territory's legendary hospitality.
