New Farm, Woolloongabba
Brisbane's famous "Gabba" ground at Wolloongabba hosts international and State cricket games, and is home ground for the Brisbane Lions Australian Football team. if your in town while one of these games is on don't miss it, you won't be disappointed.
On the other side of the river at the end of Brunswick St is the suburb of New Farm. Once a farming district as the name would suggest, it's another part of Brisbane nestled within a bend on the meandering River. At the tip is New Farm Park, a spectacular garden filled with tropical and traditional species not to mention the many thousands of rose bushes. The suburb itself is now made up of grand old homes and a good variety of ethnic shops and restaurants.
